A living room by the sea.
At Scalo Torre in Pieve Ligure, in a place that was part of our life long before it became a project.
We did not want to invent a character.
The step was almost natural: take the intimacy of Casa Oberdan out of the house and into a small kiosk facing the water. Music, simple things done with care, irony, little construction.
We wanted a place we would want to be in. Probably that is why similar people arrived.
What it taught us
It was also a school.
For the first time that culture had to live inside a place every day: organising, serving, programming, managing people and whatever went wrong.

It was short. It was not marginal.
Much of how we run a place today — service, rhythm, people — was learned there, in one season by the sea.
A place can hold a culture.
